STRIPY WOOL BLANKET

Also known as "Cobertores de Papa", this blanket is woven on a fully manual loom using churra wool (Portuguese sheep breed), originally with a white background and coloured stripes.

Production process:

After the wool is hand-spun and woven on a manual loom, it is then washed and felted in a traditional mill, where the texture softens into a "papa" (mash), giving the blanket its name. Finally, it is combed with an intricate metallic brush to open the wool fibre and create its signature long and fluffy finish.
